New work

I loved capturing the intense eye contact between the man and the restless eagle, inspired by a photograph I took in Pakistan. As he spoke, the bird began to calm, leaving me wondering what passed between them: connection, trust, or power.

The arches and surroundings at Lahore Fort, where this whole story unfolded, bring a sense of culture and heritage to the scene. They soften the intensity, adding warmth and calm, like a kind friend or a cherished memory that gives us strength in difficult moments and offers a welcome sense of relief.

The painting holds a contradiction: even when you have power, you may still need to act as the moment requires. The eagle is powerful, yet it is surrendering, choosing to submit rather than resist
