Artist Bio
Noureen Imran is a Pakistani-born visual artist based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Largely self-taught, she began painting in 2019, developing a practice rooted in memory, identity, belonging, and the emotional connection between people and place.
Working primarily in oil, Noureen moves between figurative work, portraiture, and evocative scenes inspired by personal memory. Her Pakistani heritage and experience of living between cultures strongly inform her work. In recent series such as Memories and Becoming, she explores childhood recollections of Lahore, migration, womanhood, inner conflict, and the fragments of our past that continue to shape who we become.
Her paintings often balance realism with a more expressive, atmospheric approach, using light, color, gesture, and symbolism to transform personal experiences into broader reflections on memory and human emotion.
